Project: Music In My Ear

For a couple of months I’ve been toying with this one site project. The site is MusicInMyEar.com. It’s an online community where users are able to submit music related links and share with others. The ultimate goal is for people to be able to discover new music and hear the buzz and such. You can submit youtube links, articles on music news, etc. It’s really up to you. Overall, here is how the site works:

Users are able to submit a URL to the site. You can do so in two ways.

1. Got to http://musicinmyear.com/submit and just follow the steps.

2. Use the MusicInMyEar Bookmark. It’s easier to submit a site this way. Again, just follow the instructions when the site comes up.

After you have submitted a URL the submission sits in the UPCOMING NEWS section [http://musicinmyear.com/upcoming] until it gets voted enough to times to hit the main or PUBLISHED NEWS [http://musicinmyear.com/upcoming] section. That’s the main goal. Get your submission to the frontpage so that it becomes shared to others.

Also, if you do not like what someone submitted there is a BURY option. Meaning, you give it a negative vote.

Anyway, come join in on the project. It may take a couple of submissions to figure out what you’re doing but once you do you’ll find it all much simpler than you think. Overall, have fun with the site!

FindIt Community is now LIVE!

The past few months a lot of hard work was put into getting the FindIt Community sites up for Glacier Media. FindIt Community is an online business directory that covers Whistler, Sunshine Coast, and Squamish. Each location has it’s own site as well:

Both the front-end design and back-end development work using SAXOTech’s software was done by Henchmen Productions. Look forward to seeing more community sites up in the near future. In the meantime check out the final product below!

Gibberoni.com in BETA and LIVE

Gibberoni.com is now up! Currently in BETA release but it’s now LIVE and ready to take users. Here’s a description of it:

Gibberoni is your one-stop-spot for organic and minimally processed gibberish served daily. We not only serve our own unfiltered gibberish, but allow any cool individual to leave comments about any website on the net.

Gibberoni empowers users to document your mental thoughts and online conversations by providing any unique web page with its own dedicated comment log. We call these devoted online forums gibberlogs. (Aren’t we creative?) We provide various ways to help people to discover these comments, in hopes that more discussion would happen and more traffic is generated to the referenced site.

Insightful, hateful, informative, funny…it doesn’t matter what kind of observation is submitted to a gibberlog because the main goal of this site is not only to discover like-minded individuals but to also encourage users in interacting with each other through nutritional gibberish.

So, go check out the latest Henchmen Productions Project! We did the design and development behind it! That includes all the code, Twitter integration, and Facebook Application. The back-end is being powered by CodeIgniter, a PHP Framework. Very cool stuff. Anyway, go visit and have fun!

There’s some new music from a new band available for immediate purchase and download off of the California Street Music site. The band is called Friday Knights. They’re a Japanese trio who now reside in California that play their blend of punk rock. Good stuff. They even do a cover of a Voodoo Glow Skulls classic Shoot The Moon.
